And they’re back!
Or at least some of our cadets are back to in-person training – and they couldn’t be happier.
Units from each of the region’s cadet forces have already resumed face-to-face training, with all expected to be back by the end of the month – except in areas where additional local lockdown measures are in place.
Sea cadets
Pictured are Hull Sea Cadets who observed new, Covid-safe procedures when they met up for a recent drill night.
At Humberside and South Yorkshire Army Cadet Force (ACF), all units have been given the go ahead to resume in-person training, though some are not expected to be welcoming cadets again for another couple of weeks.
Army and air cadets
At Yorkshire (North and West) ACF will be applying for its companies in North Yorkshire to re-open during the next couple of weeks.
Air cadet adult volunteers from Central and East Yorkshire Wing Air Cadets have all been authorised to return to their squadron headquarters to prepare for face-to-face activities with cadets.
However, currently, only two of the wing’s 28 squadrons have been given permission to hold parade evenings – Whitby and Harrogate – with a further four still under consideration.
