Logistics Support Officer (LSO)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the RFCA for Yorkshire and the Humber as a Logistics Support Officer (LSO) based in the Humberside & South Yorkshire ACF. Responsible for providing expert services in support of the Ministry of Defence, this is a full-time post based at the Cadet Training Centre in Driffield.
Salary, holiday entitlement and pension
The salary for the appointment is £30,556 (non-negotiable). LSOs are employed on an ‘All Hours Worked’ contract which is based on an average of 42.5 hours worked per week, over a rolling 17 week period. This is subject to any annual MoD pay rise. The successful applicant will be eligible to join the CRFCA Pension scheme which is a Career Average Revalued Earnings scheme (CARE) and will be entitled to 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays. Annual leave entitlement increases by 1 day per year up to 30 days; those with five years’ prior service with HM Forces/OGD will start with 30 days’ entitlement.
Previous armed forces service
Previous service with the Armed Forces at Warrant Officer or SNCO would be advantageous. Applicants must hold a full driving licence, preferably to include LGV (Cat C1 & D1). Candidates should have strong organisational, communication and IT literacy skills.
The post holder will be subject to a Security Clearance check, DBS Enhanced check and verification of previous employment history through two suitable references.

The RFCA for Yorkshire and the Humber (RFCA YH) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting and promoting the tri-service Reservists and Cadets across Yorkshire and the Humber, as well as providing support and assistance to the employers of Reservists and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers.
