From our surveyors and engagement specialists in our main York office to the permanent staff we employ at the Army Cadet Forces' county headquarters, the RFCA's team is dedicated to serving cadets and reserves across Yorkshire and the Humber.

David Fuller OBE

Chairman

Colonel David Fuller has dedicated over 50 years to the cadet forces, serving in several senior appointments. Alongside this, he has built a lifelong career in the maritime field — including seagoing and government service and now runs his own marine survey company. As chairman, he leads the board in directing the RFCA’s strategy and ensuring the organisation meets appropriate governance requirements. He also represents the regional association on the National Council of RFCAs.
Jason Wright

Chief executive

Colonel Jason Wright is a former infantry officer who served in a wide variety of posts during his 27-year military career, including as a Defence policy adviser in HM Treasury and as Commanding Officer of Northumbria Universities Officer Training Corps. He was appointed as the Association’s Chief Executive in 2016 and leads the executive team in the delivery of our responsibilities for the voluntary estate, support to cadets, and employer and community engagement.
Wayne Pledger MBE

Deputy chief executive

Wayne Pledger from North Yorkshire joined the British Army as a 16 year-old and served for 39 years, promoting through the ranks from soldier to Lieutenant Colonel. His final appointment was as the Staff Quartermaster at the Infantry Training Centre Catterick. He served on operations in Northern Ireland, Falkland’s Islands, Bosnia, Kosovo, Afghanistan and was awarded the MBE. He joined the RFCA in August 2020.
