The Association carries out its responsibilities through committees, as follows:
Sub-committees comprise a Chair appointed by the Association Board and such other members as the Association Board shall decide. A Vice-Chair for each committee may be elected from the membership of that committee.
The President, Vice-Presidents, Chair and Vice-Chairs of the Association shall, ex-officio, be members of every committee.
The Chair and Vice-Chair of any committee shall, ex-officio, be members of any sub-committees of such committee.
Association Board
Responsible for General Policy and financial control, with power to delegate to the sub-committees detailed below. Members are elected at the Association AGM and also advise on Association strategy. Consists of Association Chair, Association Vice-Chairs, Chairs of subsidiary Boards and Association Chief Executive.
Finance Advisory Board
To advise on risk management and to oversee the collection and distribution of regionally generated income.
Property Advisory Board
Responsible for the long-term review and development of the Volunteer Estate.
Joint Cadet Forum
Tri-Service bespoke cadet forum that focuses on regional cadets and youth matters. It is a non-executive committee aiming to provide coherency, co-ordination and co-operation to the cadet and youth effort in Yorkshire and the Humber. The principal aim is the exchange of views and ideas in an open, honest discussion on the key challenges and barriers to delivery of the cadet experience, promoting the sharing of best practice and capable of offering a regional perspective at a national level. Responsible for all administrative services (other than Maintenance Works Services) for the Army Cadet Force. Responsible for accommodation services (other than Maintenance Works Services) for the Air Training Corps and the Combined Cadet Force. Co-ordination for all Cadet Forces, including Sea Cadet Corps.
Engagement Advisory Board
Responsible for approving and endorsing all Engagement matters related to setting the conditions for Reserves and Cadets to flourish in Yorkshire and The Humber. This includes Employer Engagement and Community Engagement with the outcome of attaining enduring mutually beneficial relationships between Reserves and Cadets and the regional community.
Commanders Forum
Providing a forum for sharing updates and best practice between regional commanders.
